Welcome to White Sparrow Painting! I’m Dounia , and I discovered my love for painting and decorating as a teen. I was always painting furniture or walls and updating spaces I rented. I worked with my landlord to update rental units and had the chance to refinish beautiful Victorian homes in Toronto, refinish floors, Oak trim, and claw foot tubs. I have been helping clients transform their homes for Airbnb, long-term rental or selling for 15 years. I live in Mississauga and love spending time outside transforming my garden, travelling and discovering Ontario.

Our Work Process

Interior

Prep Work

Lots of care protecting floors and personal property. We use clean tarps, paper
and new plastic.
Sanding, caulking, patching, and skim coating to smooth out rough or damaged
ceilings and walls.

Painting

Meticulous priming, we prime the whole wall for continuity, not just the tiny
patch.
Two coats of paint, sanding and dusting walls between coats to ensure a smooth
surface.

Clean and restore

We ensure your home is clean, and paint and equipment are stored in a work
area for the weekend and every afternoon.
Rooms returned to their initial state, painter’s tape removed, floor and carpets
cleaned, and all garbage placed into contractors’ garbage bags and removed from
the property.

Inspect

All furniture, items, walls, and trim. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Exterior

Inspection

The first step in a refinishing project is a thorough inspection, looking for any loose surface boards or structural components problems, including rotting or severely split wood.
we replace any damaged or rotten deck boards and make necessary repairs before beginning the overall refinishing project.

Low-Pressure Cleaning

When using a power washer to clean wood, we use the lowest pressure for
Softwood.
Cleaning can include detergents and a gentle scrub, followed by thorough rinsing.
We use environmentally safe techniques.

Buffing and Sanding

We will buff and sand your deck to remove any raised wood fibres, residual finish
or impurities- paying particular attention to all handrails and benches and vacuum
all surfaces thoroughly after sanding.

Site Preparation

Before staining and sealing your deck, we will protect your home, patio stones,
walkways and vegetation with tarps.

Staining and sealing

We will stain and seal your deck with today’s #1-rated commercial treatment. This penetrating oil-based treatment will prevent wood rot, eliminate unsightly weathering, and UV damage, restore a rich, attractive look and prevent damage from the elements.
